Very old, with unusual layers and fine detail. Likely dates circa mid-late 1800s. 

The frame is stepped wood, the top layer being the most detailed in gold floral patterns. The frame steps down to a orange/chestnut convex layer with the final step down to an intricate gold fillet.

Glass included does show some gold paint marks. 

Overall amazing condition for its age - some flaws here and there to be expected.
